About carbon emissions:

Even though we can’t avoid carbon emissions completely, we can make up for our harmful impact on the planet by offsetting our carbon footprint — which raises global temperature by trapping solar energy in the atmosphere, has a negative impact on water supply, weather patterns and influences most of our surroundings.

To achieve deep decarbonization, we must rethink how we create and consume energy, as well as make a significant shift to renewables and low-carbon energy sources.

Offsetting:

To put it simply, offsetting one tonne of CO2 means there will be one less tonne of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. By upgrading technologies, creating awareness, and assisting minority communities in living sustainably, the projects you invest in can continue to cut global carbon emissions. These projects are all independently verified and go through a rigorous system of checks and balances to verify they are actual, measurable, and original.

Our projects:

All of our projects are validated and certified by Verra.

  • Grassland restoration in Kenya: Overgrazing, drought, and deforestation have all caused damage to this beautiful Kenyan environment. Today, the project area is home to one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s most effective forest and grassland restoration operations.
  • Wetland conservation in Borneo, Indonesia: The Katingan conservation area was protected from becoming a plantation of acacia trees. Currently, the initiative employs 400 people from 34 villages in the area. Many of the project’s workers are forest rangers and fire fighters.
  • Rainforest conservation in Brazil: This project received further certification under the CCB Standard (Climate, Community, and Biodiversity) for its net biodiversity impacts and careful monitoring of wildlife corridors, in addition to Verra’s accreditation. The project area’s net estimated emission reductions are greater than 340,000 tCO2 per year when compared to the no-project scenario. By distributing non-wood-burning, fuel-efficient cooking stoves, the scheme achieves additional benefits.

About Verra:

Verra, the world’s leading program for the certification of GHG emission reductions, validates and audits all ImpactScope carbon offsetting programs. Verra drives large-scale investment into activities that cut emissions, enhance livelihoods, and protect the environment, resulting in demonstrable climate action and sustainable development outcomes. A wide spectrum of stakeholders and NGOs trust these programs as they provide innovative solutions to environmental and social concerns. They help communities and the planet by funding projects and activities that benefit both society and the environment.

Thanks to Verra, your intention to offset will be effective with us.

Why ImpactScope?

ImpactScope’s main area of focus is decarbonization which is the process of lowering carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the atmosphere as a result of human activity. Decarbonisation’s goal is to eventually neutralize our carbon dioxide emissions.

Here at ImpactScope, we believe that the smallest amount of carbon offsets can lead to a greener future and a better planet for future generations.

Calculate your carbon footprint with ImpactScope’s calculator and follow our guidelines to start your offsetting journey.
